It has been said that 70 percent of people hate their jobs. If you are reading this article chances are you fall into this category. What is it really that is making us hate our jobs? I have come up with some reasons why people resent their jobs.
- Working Long Hours - Many people are working one or 2 jobs and working 50-80 hours a week just to get by. Our lives have become more and more expensive and it is hard for us to keep up.
- Doing Our Actual job - Most of us are working on projects that we hate. You're completing tasks in order to increase somebody else's bottom line. And while this arrangement works for some people, most chronic employees don't know what they're missing when they trade the passion of working for yourself on projects you care about for the "security" of the daily grind.
- Being Appreciated For Our Work - You work your butt off and it comes around to "bonus" time and you get either nothing or a gift card. What ever happened to big bonuses and annual increases in your salary?
- Our wages seem to be going down, not up. - Yes, the median income continues to drop as our daily lives become more expensive. Most people need dual incomes to live these days and if you have kids, you are likely feeling the pinch of the decrease in wages and opportunity in the workplace.
- Job Security - What happened to job security? There are many people out there that are losing their jobs that they had for 20 30 years. This leaves people in a predicament and some of these people have to go back to school.
So what can you do about it? There is a way. More and more people are turning to the internet to supplant their day jobs. There are many people out their that make a full time living online. Its called affiliate marketing. All you really need is a computer an internet connection and a website. You can literally get started for less than $100 dollars. Plus think about the amount of people that buy online? Now would be the right time to have your own online presence and take control of your life.
