The time it takes to see results from affiliate marketing can vary significantly depending on every individual.
There are people who start affiliate marketing and make their first sale less than 24 hours later
There are also affiliates who start and make their first sale after a month.
It all depends on different factors
An example of such factors is an already existing audience
Someone who has an already existing audience before they started affiliate marketing and knows what he's doing, has an advantage over someone who's just starting out who doesn't really have much contacts.
There's a strong likelihood that he would see results faster, if he decides to leverage on his audience
Also note that although having an already existing audience helps, it does not mean that you can't see fast results if you don't have one already
Another factor is the level of seriousness
Obviously someone who's more serious about learning all he needs to and implements quickly the necessary things he needs to grow his affiliate marketing business, will get results faster than someone who only shows up when he feels like it.
So basically, the question you should be asking isn't how long it'll take to get results from affiliate marketing, it should be "how much time and effort am I willing to put into this business, to get the results I want, as fast as possible?"
